We had issues with our LSZ1's foot pedal from day 1, the speed control was either 'off' or 'quite fast'. There was very little in between but we figured this was part of the learning curve. After having had the machine for 2 years and still not being able to attain a somewhat manageable speed control, we reached out to Sailrite for a replacement pedal.

The first response we got was in short: "It's a skill issue, you just need more practice or otherwise look at our new WorkerB motor package".

I explained again that we had the machine for 2 years now and had completed major projects using it but that this had not changed our experience with the pedal/machine, even linking to a forum post where someone had the same issue and had their pedal replaced. The response I got was still: "It's a skill issue, it's a matter of managing the inertia".

I took the pedal apart and made a video in which I showed that even with fine movement of the slider and careful manipulation with my thumb, the machine would still lurch into a quite high speed and letting off a bit would just mean the machine stopped. I asked them what I could do to prove it was a pedal issue. We never received a response back again.

Last week I replaced the circuit board in the pedal with a $5 one bought from AliExpress and guess what, we can now attain one-stitch-per-second speed. I have added the before and after videos and I think the results speak for themselves. You can hear my girlfriend's audible sigh of relief at the end.

I am disappointed by the lack of support, the ignoring of a clear issue and the up-sell to an expensive option that doesn’t work on our 230V inverter anyway. I had to go to extreme lengths to show there is an issue and then in the end solve it myself.

If you ever have this issue, you can get the board off of AliExpress. Especially the one with the variable resistor is recommended.

An anomaly in this day and age, customer service that is real.About two years ago, I purchased a sailrite fabricator sewing machine to use in my leather business/hobby. I’m able to see much heavier leather than before with my baby lock machine (great for lightweight). There is a learning curve, however, and I’ve had some struggles always manageable with sailrite service. Recently sewing material that was probably too heavy for the machine I knocked the needle out of alignment. I was stumped. I contacted customer service which, in the first place, was easy to access a real anomaly in this day and age. My communication with Matt at Customer service was easy to access, informative, and as I went through the process, Matt was available to assist. He pointed me to sailrights YouTube videos, and the appropriate pages in the fabricator guidebook.. Our communication was primarily via email, however, when necessary telephone communication was available. I can’t say enough positive about my experience with sailrite customer service.

Your “Learn” center is awesome. The videos are very informative and clear. They explain the why as well as the what. I made a cushion cover for the back of our Jeep. We had taken the back seat out for our dogs and they needed some cush.
I played the video on cushions several times. It’s divided into sections based on the stage of the effort so it was easy to go back and review a particular piece.
I’m very proud of my work and I have Sailrite to thank for it.

Great selection and excellent photos of their products at different levels of magnification are very very useful. Their learning how-to videos are a treasure and there are hundreds. Nice to be able to get everything in one place. BUT, service when I called was unable to give me any insight except to read from the webpage when I wanted to compare 3 fabrics... starting with one as superior and after reading, reversing opinion but, in the end, not being sure. Yikes. The costs are very much on the high side and shipping is absurd - 2 sample yards in an envelope incur the minimum shipping charge of $16.00. Ther negatives are not overwhelming if you find a good person to advise you on your project.

I am a multiple time repeat online customer. I have owned one of their sewing machines for years. Sailrite provide excellent products. They have outstanding help & instructional videos. Often when you buy an item, soon you will receive another email with a link to instructional videos on how to install and use the item you just purchased. Customer service is superb when you need to call and ask questions. They will recommends fast era or products that will best met your needs. For me it is a good thing they are across the country otherwise, if local, more money would be coming out of my pocket to buy items. They are a great source of sunbrella fabrics.

My office chair is high quality in every way, except for the seat cover, which was very thin but stretchy — almost like a balloon. I had only had the chair a few months when the material split and began to peel away. I was so happy to find this soft, substantial, leather-like material with stretch! I expect it to last very well, and it feels nice.

Nothing but problems on the foot pedal of my sewing machine LZ1. Called, bought a "new and improved" foot pedal. When it arrived it was exactly the same one. Really poor device that failed within 10 hours. Emailed, complained, tried to call customer service and Founder. Impossible. Was told months later to send photos of the electric motor. What, really, the electric motor? I gave up and bought a better foot pedal on amazon. That solved my problem.

Excellent customer service and great videos with concise instructions. I had already ordered fabric when I discovered the Sailrite site, otherwise I would have ordered it from this company and would have saved money! Both times I ordered from them, the product was here in 4 days. Really appreciated the cording being on a reel, made it easier as I sewed the piping. Thank you so much, have recommended Sailrite to a couple of friends already.
