I would love to give a 10 STARS but I cannot. I wish I could because of one employee, Danarri, who went above and beyond. In a day and time of bricks losing luster to clicks, it is admirable to find a store with an employee who understands "customer service" as Danarri did. Another employee did not. Danarri took time to stand with me as Customer Service switched me and Danarri to another online rep who, within minutes gushed 'of course we can make this happen.' A small thing but a big thing for Customers is 'being seen.' I made time to let the Customer Service woman Jeanette who said 'we can do' that I wanted to commend Dannari to management, the ones who look for feedback when it comes to deciding which employees get escalated to management. To infinity and beyond Danarri!!!!! I could tell more of the story of how I met Danarri but why take away from her success in valuing service to customers moreso in a day and time when business has set itself up to favor online business more than people who walk in to the brick store. Irony being, the Customer Service 800 number is set up for online customers, not for brick store customers. Brick customers are people, too. Thank you Jeanette, thank you Danarri.

The Old Navy is located in Potomac Yards in Alexandria Virginia just a hop and a skip away from Arlington Virginia. The Old Navy is seated next to a J Crew which is next to a Barnes and Nobles which is next to a Michaels, a Homegoods, an Amazon Fresh, a TJ Maxx and a Totally Wine.

The Old Navy is across the parking lot from a Dunkin Donuts and a Chase Bank that has been there around a year. There is a second half to the complex, and other stores including Starbucks.

The store is well laid out, well placed signage. What would make things customer friendlier is to have free standing machines, like Michael has, that allow the customer to see what the discounted price is on sale items dropped prices.

Thank you again, Danarri, a real people person who says she loves retail, and customers, as I learned.

I'm not a big shopper, but my experience at this Old Navy wasn't bad. It's not as massive as other locations and less overwhelming. The dressing rooms are not very nice, but staff give you the freedom to just grab an empty one. It's less intrusive.

The assistant manager for this store was beyond rude. From the moment we laid our items down to purchase, she had an attitude because we asked to see a subtotal on items before completing the purchase. She also was extremely unhelpful in helping my friend navigate her account issues with her Old Navy card. My friend ended up figuring it out by herself, as the assistant manager just sat at the register and stared at us. Once the purchase was complete, the assistant manager printed a copy to keep which I found extremely insulting, as if she was insinuating the purchase was a fraudulent charge. As my friend and I were leaving, the assistant manager watched us out of the parking lot the ENTIRE time - which made me feel like we were being profiled. This encounter was not a good look on behalf of Old Navy and I would NEVER recommend this store for any shoppers.

The assistant manager was incredibly rude to my friend and I as I was trying to check out. I have an Old Navy credit card, but I didn't have the card on me. Usually, I can just do a card lookup, but she didn't accept it as it was my dad's name that popped up and not mine, even though I'm an authorized user. I showed her a picture of my card with my name on it, I pulled up the credit card portal on my phone and offered to video call my dad, who lives in a different state and would be more than willing to authorize the charge as I'm the one who pays the bill. She said she would not accept the video call and made me call the credit card customer service line to prove that I was an authorized user. The guy on the phone said that I could've just put in my credit card details using the photo that I already showed her, to which she reluctantly let me type my card details on the screen. She then printed out an extra copy of the receipt, which I'm not sure what she plans to do with it because this was far from a fraudulent charge. She was mean-mugging my friend and I as we left the store and drove out of the parking lot. Who would've thought that it'd be so difficult to shop in store, I guess I'll just stick to online.

So first of all I would like to say I usually have had a good experience shopping at this location and so I decided to apply well I did and I got an interview and everything with the hiring manager Kathy , She told me that I was a good candidate and that I should hear back from her in a week so that’s what I did I waited a week or so and I called back and I told her that is there anyway I could start after my trip because I’m visiting my dad because he is having surgery and she was like of course yeah just reapply when you get back, after my trip that’s what I tried to do and I had some trouble with it and so I tried calling the store to speak with her and was unable to get a hold of her left her my number and I even spoke to the GM of the store twice and she didn’t help me at all. They literally had me go through a roller coaster trying to figure out if I had the job or not . Do not apply here at this store at all I would recommend going to either TJ max or marshals for a job

Poor customer service from the store lead. I mentioned that they were out of my size in some things and she didn't offer to have it shipped to me, which I saw on a sign while I was leaving. Also very frustrating that a lot of the tag sizes didn't match the size on the hangers so you have to dig and dig through mountains of clothes/tags to find your size. Might as well just shop on line.

I’m starting to wonder why anyone would go to a store anymore. There had to be seven employees, all working at the back. No one to help myself or another woman who literally went to drag an employee to the front to check out. Didn’t really have my size, which is not super uncommon. I definitely wondered at what point I should just give up or just leave without paying for my item, which I definitely could have. Online is just way easier.
